Acclaimed actor and documentary filmmaker, Ross Kemp visited The Ship pub in Little Thurrock alongside Labour Party’s prospective parliamentary candidate, Jen Craft.

Ross Kemp, known for his hard-hitting documentaries and passionate advocacy for social justice, took the time to meet with local residents to listen to their concerns, and discuss Labour’s vision for a better future for Thurrock.

Jen Craft, Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Thurrock, welcomed Kemp’s support and said:

“It’s an honour to have Ross Kemp here today. Ross took time out of his busy diary to listen to people’s struggles, whether it be paying more council tax or the rising cost of bills. He gets how tough it is for many people in Thurrock. Ross understands the anger that local people feel when they look back over the last 14 years of a Tory government, asking – ‘why did no one stand up for families like mine?’”

Ross Kemp commented:

“I’m here to ask people to ignore the polls and think about whether they want five more years of the Tories or a chance to rebuild the future with the Labour Party. If people want change they must go out and vote for it on July fourth.”
