Peter Prinsley has today [24 May] been selected to stand as Labour’s Parliamentary candidate for Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.
Peter is a Norwich City Councillor and works as a Consultant Surgeon in Norfolk.
Like many in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket, Peter is keen to champion and support those suffering from the housing crisis, long NHS waiting lists and the explosive rise in the cost-of-living.
A Labour government will bring a decade of national renewal that will transform the lives of the people in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.
Speaking after his selection, Peter Prinsley said:
“I’m thrilled to be chosen to stand for Labour in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.
“The challenges faced by the local community after 14 years of a disastrous Tory government are obvious.
“I think it is important that the people of Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket have an opportunity to vote for a Labour candidate and to support the policies that will transform the local area and Britain.
“Only Labour will deliver the change that Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket needs: getting the NHS back on its feet, economic security, educational opportunity and tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.
“I will be a voice in Westminster for all the people of this community and fight to secure the change that we so badly need”
