Marsha de Cordova MP, Labour’s Shadow Women’s and Equalities Secretary, responding to reports that standard PPE is not protecting female frontline workers, said:

“Women working in our NHS are putting their lives at risk to protect us from this virus.

“It is scandalous that they are not given the right PPE to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

“75% of NHS workers are women and the Government must act now to give them the equipment they need.”
