About Labour East
What we do
Labour East is the voice for the Labour Party in the East of England. We support our councillors, parliamentarians, candidates, and members, in order to build a Britain that works for everyone. In the East, Labour has six Members of Parliament, one Member of the European Parliament, and control six councils.
This is good, but we want to do even better. If we are going to secure a Labour Government, we need more Labour MPs from the East, and more local councillors to help put our progressive policies into action.
If a Labour Government is what you want, then this is the place to get involved.
How you can help
We are always looking for more activists and campaigners to help out. Your first port of call should be your local CLP (Constituency Labour Party). There, you can get involved in the local work your CLP does, be it campaigning, going to meetings, or donating to the monthly raffle!
If you want to get involved right away, and help us elect Labour politicians to build a country for the many, not the few, then it’s time to head out on the doorstep! All our campaigning sessions are advertised on the Labour Party events tool, find out where you can help by simply typing in your postcode. And, don’t worry if you haven’t campaigned before! Our volunteers are always friendly and willing to help show beginners the ropes.
Of course, not everyone has the time to campaign every weekend. But if you still want to help get a Labour government elected here is what you can do. We need funding; to help produce leaflets for campaigning, to organise events where you can meet your favourite politicians, and to pay for organisers who can make the difference in the most crucial constituencies. If you can donate even five pounds, that will make a tremendous difference in getting us the Labour government Britain desperately needs.
Finally, if you have ideas about what direction you want to see the national Labour Party go in, you can also get involved in our policy formation process. This is easily done, just go to our national policy forum and let us know your ideas.
If there is something that we have missed, or you just want to get in touch to find out more, the regional team is always happy to help.

We look forward to hearing from you!
